The goal of this work was to create an African American woman and give her the likeness of a Nubian Queen. It was meant to bring out the beauty of people he was brought up with.
Significant features include a non-traditional crown, a more modern look for a known and revered ancient image. The crown was also meant to show the possibility of rare minerals in its composition.
